FEP-4600 Communication Controller
The FEP-4600 Communication Controller is an efficient, high-performance and economical communication device used for the transmission of business critical data between mainframes, also known as "Cross domain computing" (PU4/SNI). One of the benefits is the enormous cost saving, because the FEP-4600 does not require NCP/SSP/NPSI or EP licensed software.

The FEP-4600 Communication Controller provides the PU4/SNI Cross-Domain-Computing necessary without the expensive NCP licensed software. It allows modern computing centres to use up-to-date hardware, with a short return of investment (ROI on average of 12 to 18 months).

The FEP-4600 Communication Controller is attached directly at the ESCON channel or over a Escon Director.

The FEP-4600 Communication Controller communicates with other FEP-4600, with other traditional IBM 3745/46 and with products using NCP/SNI, such as CCL (Communication Controller for Linux).

The FEP-4600 Communication Controller supports a variety of connection ways and listings so that furthermore the controller is also a gateway for the communication with other systems.

The FEP-4600 Communication Controller is configured and monitored via a browser in real time. Every FEP-4600 interface can be configured individually without requiring a restart of the system as with a traditional 3745/46.
